Meet Our Gypsy Vanners
Riverstone Irish Mist (“Misty”)
Misty is the epitome of sunshine. A social butterfly who adores people and thrives on attention. She was professionally trained by Twisted M Stable in Texas and Luke Brown in Arizona, and her kind, willing nature makes her a joy to be around. Misty is the daughter of High Valley Mr. Twister and Silver Lady, carrying on the strong bloodlines of her breed. She was born nearly black, became dapple grey as she grew, and is now unicorn white.
Ambrosia’s Martini (“Princess Adira”)
Adira is more introverted but incredibly intelligent, with a heart full of loyalty and love. She has the memory of an elephant and is always eager to please. Raised and trained personally here at BLeaves Farms, Adira is the daughter of The Heartbreaker Romeo, whose lineage traces back to some of the biggest foundation names in the breed, and Top’s Ambrosia, an impressive import mare.
Both of these majestic, feathered beauties are like big puppy dogs, following us around, craving affection, and displaying the kind, people-loving temperament that Gypsy Vanners are famous for.
The History & Charm of the Gypsy Vanner Horse
Originally bred by the Roma (Gypsy) people of the British Isles, Gypsy Vanners were carefully developed to pull ornate caravans, known as vardos, while also serving as beloved family companions. The goal was to create a horse that was:

✅ Gentle and trustworthy around children
✅ Resilient, intelligent, and easy to maintain
With their feathered legs, long flowing manes, and compact, muscular builds, these horses are a living fairytale. They are known for their calm demeanor, intelligence, and willingness to please, making them fantastic for first-time horse owners and experienced equestrians alike.
Official Recognition & Rarity
The Gypsy Vanner breed was formally recognized in 1996 with the establishment of the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society (GVHS) in the U.S. and is still considered a rare breed. Because they were selectively bred in small numbers, true Gypsy Vanners remain highly sought after worldwide.
